Control Concepts, Inc. manufactures UL approved electro mechanical, electronic and proximity zero speed switches. These devices are shaft or pulse driven and can indicate or control the rotary motion of the equipment they are attached to. Our zero speed switches are widely used as interlocks on conveyor systems of all types (see below examples). When driven from a critical shaft, a zero speed switch can be electronically connected to:

Actuate a signal or alarm device
Break a circuit to a motor
Make a circuit to start auxiliary equipment
Make or break a circuit to other electrical devices
Signal a control station PLC
Circuits make or break upon deviation from the normal operating speed of the critical shaft, such as:

Stoppage due to mechanical failure
Slowing down due to overload
Speed change due to normal machine cycling
Over speeding or reverse rotation
